He Is Risen! Hallelujah!

Happy Friday Reader!

Latest Blog Post: How to Calm Your Anxiety with Bible Journaling

Today is Good Friday and it's a happy day because we have hope. After all, Jesus took our place and died on the cross!

Hallelujah!

Pilate said to them, “You have a guard of soldiers. Go, make it as secure as you can.” So they went and made the tomb secure by sealing the stone and setting a guard. Matthew 27:65-67

They tried to seal the tomb shut but that didn't keep Jesus in the grave! If Jesus had remained dead, it would all have been in vain and mankind would still have to die for their sins!It is ONLY because Jesus is risen that we can have life eternal! My sins are paid in full!Hallelujah!Jesus came that we might have life! Now we can look forward because . . .

Jesus is coming back soon!

The Women Were Alarmed!

Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome went to the tomb early Sunday morning expecting to care for His body. What they found was ALARMING, to say the least!! The burial linens were neatly folded and Jesus was GONE!! And entering the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a long white robe sitting on the right side; and they were alarmed.

But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him. But go, tell His disciples—and Peter—that He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you.” Mark 16:5-7
THE ANGEL TOLD THEM, "DO NOT BE ALARMED."

A major drawback to Easter is most people, even Believers, are more taken up with spring, easter bunnies, and eggs than with Jesus!

I raised and bred rabbits and chickens for years and love bunnies but I never saw one rabbit lay an egg!!

The only outcome of this tradition is getting the children to think about chocolate eggs and bunnies.

To a child, an Easter egg hunt would be much more fun than learning how Jesus died for their sin.

Very deceiving of Satan!

My challenge to you is to draw about Jesus and the cross and teach the children in your life about the real meaning of Easter.

Tell them about Resurrection Sunday and what Jesus has done for them!!

Tell the children the story about the three women who went looking for Jesus at the tomb and found Him missing.

Because . . .

HE IS RISEN!!

Reading over the passages in the Gospels before Resurrection Sunday is how I love preparing my heart for Easter.

Workout Wednesday Tip? Hello Reader! Check out the FREE SCIATICA WORKOUT at the bottom! Have you been working out this past week? The older I get, the more I realize how important it is to workout. I used to workout once a month thinking that chasing after 7 kiddos between baby and 12 years old was enough to keep me fit. As the years rolled by, I learned that losing weight wasn't the most important thing. It's all about living for God's glory and doing things for those you love. If you can't...

Are You Holding Fast? Hello Reader! What matters most to you? People? Things? God? 😊 My hubby and I relocated to the Midwest for the next 5 months. 😉 This is the fourth summer we've gone on this two-day road trip so you'd think we'd be used to it. In many ways we are. We don't have to pack everything since we store many of them over the winter. Even though I have a list on my phone, the feeling that we've forgotten something is real. 😭 One year three small bags were forgotten. All the...

What's in the Air for May? Hello Reader! May brought change as I relocated to the Midwest for the next five months. My hubby and I drove over 1000 miles and settled into a new routine involving grandkids. I exchanged warmer days for chillier ones! Workouts are Better with a Friend! Most women do better working out with a friend. My friends love going to the gym and getting a workout in together. That's not possible for me most of the time. How about you? I'd love to invite you to: Workout...
