Proven Strategies for Anxiety

Hello Reader!

➡️ Are you seeing any signs of spring? The other day, we drove a few hours south, and the daffodils, tulips, forsythia, and trees were blooming.

➡️ I hope warmer weather is on its way. Summer brings warmth and is my favorite season.

Anxiety is uncomfortable to the heart and soul in a similar way to when you are chilled to the bone and cannot get warm.

When I was a young girl, I had not experienced the effects of anxiety.

My grandma was often worried that I'd fall off the upstairs porch or get hit by a car when crossing the street.

I didn't understand why she was anxious!

Now I understand. Although it's not something I continually struggle with, some situations cause me to worry.

  • When my granddaughter climbs a tree with thin branches - because I fell out of a tree doing the same thing!
  • Fast-paced highway traffic - because I was in an accident!
  • Kids acting wild around a glass door - because I ran through a glass door when I was 13!

Dealing with anxiety helps me to understand when other women deal with it too.

I have been sharing on my blog about anxiety to help you. It seems that anxiety is something we deal with more during midlife and the years that follow.

Renewing Your Mind

Neglecting to renew my mind and spirit was a big mistake while raising kids.

Yes, I faithfully spent time with Jesus, but I rarely went out alone or spent time on a hobby to relax my mind and spirit.

We are so busy caring for everyone else that we forget to care for ourselves.

We neglect to care for the inside of our minds.

I am challenging you to learn to renew your mind. It's a practice where you thoughtfully change how you think to the way God wants you to think.

I am learning with you and thought you might like to join me.
